Today, the GARD Center campus was filled with inspiring energy, curiosity, and the bright smiles of approximately 124 children and adolescents participating in the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda’s END IT HOW Summer Camp 2026.
Accompanied by 10 adult supervisors from the Office of Youth Intervention, the campers ranging in age from 5 to 17 joined the GARD Center team for an immersive, guided educational tour. The visit was designed to give participants practical, first-hand exposure to the critical roles that agriculture, local food production, and environmental stewardship play in national development.
For many of the young participants, today’s visit offered a unique, up-close look at modern agricultural operations. Our team thoroughly enjoyed leading the group through our facilities, sharing insights on sustainable farming practices, food security, and the diverse, rewarding career pathways available within the agricultural sector today.
Our Perspective: “Programs like the END IT HOW Summer Camp are vital for shaping well-rounded, community-minded future leaders. We are deeply honored that the Royal Police Force recognized the value of our facility as a classroom without walls.”
We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Office of Youth Intervention and the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda for partnering with us. It is through collaborative efforts like these that we can inspire the next generation to appreciate local food systems and embrace environmental responsibility.
Thank you to all the brilliant campers and dedicated staff who made today’s visit so memorable. We look forward to many more opportunities to support and empower the youth of Antigua and Barbuda!
